Ewan McGregor, the Scottish actor is desperate to learn French… After all, he needs to understand what his wife and childrens are talking about.

Ewan took on the role of a younger Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars Trilogy, a role originally made famous by Alec Guinness in the original Star Wars films. McGregor took very special care (especially in his portrayal of Kenobi to ensure that Obi-Wan’s speech timings, mannerisms, and accents closely resemble Obi-Wan’s “Alec Guinness Self”.

Ewan is also a star know as the man in the american movie: The Moulin Rouge.

He has now 3 kids with his wife wife of 11 years, French production designer Eve Mavrakis, but he wants to improve his language skills so he doesn’t feel neglected in his own home.

He says, “There’s a lot of French spoken in the house, but my French is terrible. I want to learn it.”
